CMI Level 7 Leadership Coaching and Mentoring
The Level 7 qualification in Leadership Coaching and Mentoring is ideally suited to managers and leaders, who have the authority and responsibility for developing and implementing a coaching and mentoring strategy across the organisation. These qualifications require managers and leaders to build on their strategic management and leadership skills.
You can study at the Award, Certificate or Diploma Level. Level 7 is equivalent to studying at post graduate level.
There are a range of units available allowing employers and individuals to tailor elements of the qualifications to suit their specific needs.

Level 7 Award in Leadership Coaching and Mentoring
The Award enables learners to tailor the qualification to suit their professional needs.
This qualification consists of just 1 unit (1 work-based assignment) and can be completed in as little as 1 – 3 months.
Level 7 Certificate in Leadership Coaching and Mentoring
The Level 7 Certificate provides a broader knowledge.
This qualification can be completed in 2 units (2 work-based assignments).
What does the course involve?
Level 7 Award – Complete any ONE unit from the list below, to a minimum of 6 credits:
Level 7 Certificate complete any combination of units from the list below, to a minimum of 13 credits:
CMI Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership qualification – Complete all group A units and one unit from group B (minimum of 7 units):

- Unit 7016 – Coaching and Mentoring Policies (6 credits)
- Unit 7017 – Organisational Coaching and Mentoring (6 credits)

- Unit 7002 – Developing performance management strategies (7 credits)
- Unit 7020 – Leadership Coaching and Mentoring skills (7 credits)
Group B
- Unit 7019 – Embedding Coaching and Mentoring in the Organisation (7 credits)
- Unit 7010 – Implementing Organisational Change Strategies (7 credits)
- Unit 6001 – Managing Organisational culture (7 credits)
- Unit 6004 – Leading Equality and Diversity (7 credits)
