CMI Level 5 Management and Leadership
Who is the course for?
This course is ideally suited for middle managers, as well as those aspiring to senior management who want to develop a range of core skills.
Level 5 Award in Management and Leadership
The Level 5 Award in Management and Leadership is designed to develop middle management skills and capabilities by focusing on specific management areas that are applicable to the learner’s role.
The Award Learners must complete at least one unit to a minimum of 4 credits
The following example unit is offered to meet the 4 credits:
- 501: Principles of Management and Leadership in an Organisational Context
Level 5 Certificate in Management & Leadership
The Level 5 Certificate in Management and Leadership provides learners with a broader knowledge of middle management skills while focusing on the specific leadership areas appropriate to them and their workplace.
To achieve the Certificate learners must complete any combination of units to a minimum of 13 credits
The following example units are offered to meet the 13 credits:
- 501: Principles of Management and Leadership in an Organisational Context
- 502: Principles of Developing, Managing and Leading Individuals and Teams to Achieve Success
Level 5 Diploma in Management & Leadership
The Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership is designed for middle managers and those aspiring to senior management who want to develop their key skills.
A Diploma in Management and Leadership is the benchmark qualification for full CMI membership, taking managers another step towards Chartered Manager status.
The Diploma Learners must complete a combination to a minimum of 37 credits
The following example units are offered to meet the 37 credits:
- 501: Principles of Management and Leadership in an Organisational Context
- 502: Principles of Developing, Managing and Leading Individuals and Teams to Achieve Success
- 504: Managing Performance
- 513: Managing Projects to Achieve Results
- 514: Managing Change
- 515: Creating and Delivering Operational Plans
- 520: Managing Finance or 525 Using Reflective Practice to Inform Personal and Professional Development
